..were the nicknames our boys had for the huge logs which slowed our progress while cutting wood and the taste of unripe lingonberries when we lived in Alaska.

Foto Friday: Motion
I have to admit this had my stymied at first... We have great motion pictures of Sean during soccer season but that season is now over. We have great pictures of Ian and Evan "practicing" their TaeKwon Do courtesy of Sean. Once again those were photos past... What to do?
Then inspiration hit Saturday afternoon as Evan as I did a little cooking... Ok, so he taste tested and I cooked but every good cook needs an able-bodied taste tester! Someone with refined taste buds which haven't been dulled by age. We hope you enjoy our motion pictures.... We found them to be quite steamy but don't believe they will cause any kind of eruption!
So sorry for the pun! And yes it was intentional, nothing that bad could be otherwise! We are a family who loves a good pun. In fact my husband likes to see how badly he can make the boys groan... okay maybe they may not ALL appreciate the fine art of the pun but they are getting there! ha ha
Please come and join us with Rebecca at Renaissance to join for the FOTO FRIDAY Challenge. Next week's challenge "Dress Up," either in costume or all dressed up! I personally am looking forward to this challenge!

These are grand!!! What is that you are cooking?
ReplyDeleteThe boys have remarkable agility.. wish I had 1/20th of that. The 'steamy' pictures are wonderful.. I can almost smell the sauce and I see the motion in the pot there too.
Marilyn
Whatever you were making looked wonderful! That was a GREAT motion idea :) Meanwhile, can I come for dinner?? ;)
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the two of the boiling bubbles!! EXCELLENT idea and capture! VERY creative! (and the puns too). BTW - I am going to just post this here too - you did a GREAT job on your bags (the post below). I wish I could sew like that!!! :D
ReplyDeleteThis is really funny....my husband and I play the "pun" game...(especially on long trips) We might see a tree and say..."I think your'e BARKING up the wrong tree.." and I will say..."you are going out on a LIMB with that one..." I know we are wierd...anyhow...Pictures...My favorite is the bubbling sauce...I agree with my mom...I can almost smell it:)
ReplyDeleteSorry about that! The sauce was barbecue sauce for barbecued chicken "wings" which we discovered were LEGS not wings! Now the joke in our house is calling legs "wings"... Evan was so funny as he was eating the sauce by the spoonful!
ReplyDeletePaula,
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much! I have a love-hate relationship with sewing.. :) I enjoy sewing but find patterns so tedious, for a lack of a better word. My husband is such a dear heart and bought me a sewing machine with all metal innards! Apparently I would sew on things which were a bit too "heavy" and kept breaking some inside piece plus the military broke them repeatedly also!! :
Great job!!! :)
ReplyDeleteAmy
a STEAMY motion picture?! I guess I have a dirty mind because something other than a volcano came to my mind! hehehe!!!!
ReplyDeleteNow is when Matt looks at me and shakes his head.
I know that the bubbling pot was a great artistic idea~ but even still, my favorite has to be your son (I presume) in the third photo down. I stared at it forever! I can't believe someone can do that and still have such a casual look on their face~like they are just sitting down or something. And I know it couldn't have lasted THAT long so you did really good capturing it in that very small open window of opportunity!
Rebecca, the picture of Ian with his feet taken up in the air was taken by Sean! I love watching him take pictures!! He really is an inspiration when it comes to "motion" pictures. We don't know how he does it (maybe its because he is non-stop motion) but Sean has an eye for motion! I think I am going to have him start posting pictures as well because he loves having a camera in his hand.
ReplyDeleteSorry Peggy, I somehow missed your pictures yesterday! Anyway, the one of the boys "practicing" cracked me up!
ReplyDeleteMmmm... Whatever you were cooking looks yummy. I loves the bubbles.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of the kiddos are great as well. I think I'm just hungry so the food ones look better. lol!
